Lynsey Addario's work is very real as it is mentioned in the prompt. It tells a story of the real world that not everyone sees in their everyday lives. It kind of give a reminder of what is happening around the world and put light upon they real world situations that help, us, live the lives we live today.
Janet Cardiff and George Bures Miller on the other hand is a totally different story where they photograph not real situations, but dig into their creative side and capture the image that they imagine in their minds. This is also very interesting because they put out what they have in mind and want to share their creative thoughts, through posed photography.
They are both similar in a way that both photographers tells a story that they want to portray through the medium of photography. It also allows us to read deep into what they photograph whether it is nonfictional or fictional.
They are different in the sense that one is more of a creative take on photography versus one is dealing with real world issues.
It is hard to decide which one is more important because they are important in different ways where one is important with sharing the world around us and one is important for one to see and think about what is happening in the minds of the artist.
I personally would prefer to have a job of Addario's because I love the idea of sharing the real world and capturing images in the moment. I personally do not think that I would enjoy taking the gritty side of the world, but the idea of a raw natural photo appeals more to my taste in photography.
