David Choe

Ohnim

David Choe is an artist that specializes in graffiti. He is an artist for multiple magazine such as Vice and Hustler. He began his art journey when he was growing up in Koreatown, Los Angeles, spray painting around the city. If you see his work it is very colorful and he works on very large spaces. What is amazing is the amount of detail that goes in with using spray paint and how he could try multiple different styles, yet make it noticeable that it is done by him.

Ohnim is a gallery artist that I chose for this post. Ohnim, also known as Mino is a kpop idol, that also has a passion for art and his art is displayed in multiple well known art galleries such as Saatchi Gallery. He uses acrylic as his medium and is inspired by pop art.

As you can see I think both artist uses a lot of color into their work to express the overall meaning and aesthetic that these pieces are meant to show. I think that they are different because although Ohnim's art does have a lot of detail, it mainly always has one main focal point, but Choe's art pieces are intricate, yet so big and loud. There is a lot more to see in Choe's graffiti art.
